Product Introduction

 

Measurements of the transformer's DC resistance or voltage ratio must be made during factory acceptance testing of semi-finished and finished products, installation, major overhauls, after tap changer adjustments, handover testing, and as required by power utility preventive maintenance testing. This procedure makes it possible to check the quality of the winding junction weld and find interturn short circuits in windings. Additionally, it recognizes broken leads, detects strand breaks in multi-strand conductors, ensures correct contact at all voltage tap changer tap positions, and confirms alignment between actual and indicated tap positions. Conventional testing necessitates several wiring configurations between two instruments, which lengthens the process, reduces productivity, and seriously disrupts production deadlines.

3.1 Direct Resistance Function Features

1. This product is suitable for testing inductive loads such as 10kV and 35kV distribution transformers, instrument transformers, motors, generators, as well as measuring wire materials, relay switch contacts, etc.

2. Features temperature conversion functionality, enabling resistance values to be converted to different temperatures per customer requirements for convenient data comparison.

3. Features discharge audible alarms, power supply overheating protection, and reverse voltage connection protection.

4. Allows direct switching of on-load tap changers during measurement; the instrument automatically refreshes data without requiring reset operations.

3.2 Transformation Ratio Function Features

1. The instrument employs a three-phase precision inverter power supply internally, eliminating harmonic interference from mains voltage during measurement for enhanced accuracy. Operation remains unaffected when powered by a generator.

2. Utilizes three-phase output voltage to accelerate testing speed. Capable of measuring phase angle, with automatic identification of connection groups 0-11. For low-voltage rectifier transformers with multiple windings, the low-voltage side requires no disconnection for measuring transformation ratio and 7.5° angle deviation.

3. Suitable for a wide range of transformers, particularly ideal for measuring Z-type transformers, rectifier transformers, grounding transformers, and electric furnace transformers.

4. Features high/low voltage reverse connection protection, transformer interturn short-circuit protection, tap changer position failure protection, and full output short-circuit protection, enhancing instrument stability.

5. After inputting rated parameters, it automatically measures transformer turns ratio, error value, and tap position. It accurately determines the exact position of tap switches, even for asymmetrical taps, supporting up to 99 tap positions.
