Product Introduction

 

The MES-W402C Handheld Optical Digital Relay Protection Tester is a detection and testing instrument developed based on smart substation standards. It enables parsing of SV, GOOSE, B-code, and IEEE1588 messages; calculation of voltage and current magnitude, phase, and frequency; and real-time monitoring of GOOSE virtual terminals. It performs closed-loop testing of smart devices by sending SV and GOOSE messages and subscribing to/publishing GOOSE messages. Phase comparison is achieved through parsing and calculating different control blocks. Measurement of transmission delay for smart operation boxes and SOE timing accuracy is accomplished using hard contacts for inputs and outputs. Analysis, statistics, and synchronization of abnormal SV and GOOSE messages enable measurement of discrete events, frame loss, and absolute delay for merging units. The MES-402C's compact size, intuitive touchscreen operation, and robust measurement/analysis capabilities fully meet the testing and commissioning requirements for protection devices, measurement/control units, smart terminals, merging units, and station control systems during operation, maintenance, and commissioning of smart substations.
