Common Fault Diagnosis
Failure to connect with external PC
- Verify communication toggle switch is set to position "E"; use designated cross-over Ethernet cable
- Confirm PC fixed IP as 192.168.0.188, turn off firewall blocking network port
- Execute F1 disk scan on tester main interface then restart software
Test software fails to launch
- Press F1 to scan disk; if invalid, press F2 to switch backup solidified program for operation
- Connect external USB keyboard, format D disk and restore backup firmware
No analog voltage/current output after clicking Test
- Check system setting analog channel configuration matches actual wiring (3V3I / 6V6I)
- Verify longest fault time parameter longer than protection action fixed value
- Confirm no hardware overload alarm (restart after cooling if overload buzzer triggers)
Switch input cannot capture protection contact action
- Check contact wiring polarity for channel 3 potential input; set correct high/low trigger edge in module parameters
- Increase switch input jitter resolution to match contact bounce time
FAQ
Q1 How to select the correct model among METW-60TA / TB / T?
A: METW-60TA (4V3I) for single-transformer and small substation basic test; METW-60TB (4V6I) for double-winding transformer differential test; METW-60T (6V6I) for double busbar, generator-transformer and full-scale laboratory type test with dual independent voltage sources for synchrocheck and BATS test.
Q2 What is the difference between state sequence module and group test module?
A: Group test is dedicated for line fault & reclosing integrated simulation with fixed fault/reclosing state logic. State sequence supports fully customized arbitrary voltage/current time series, mainly applied to auto-switch sequential logic and complex multi-state fault simulation.
Q3 How to test transformer harmonic braking characteristic?
A: Enter Harmonic Test module, activate automatic harmonic sweep mode, set 2nd harmonic variation range and step length; inject rated differential current with varying harmonic content to record protection operating threshold, calculate harmonic braking coefficient automatically.
Q4 Can the tester realize GPS synchronous test?
A: Yes. Set synchronization item to GPS in system configuration, access GPS pulse signal to the last group of switch input terminals; analog output only activates after receiving synchronous pulse signal.
Q5 How to export test reports to external storage?
A: Exit all test modules, power off the tester, insert USB flash drive into front USB port, restart and enter File Transfer module, select "Export Test Report to USB" to complete batch storage.
Q6 Is it allowed to parallel multi-phase current output for large current injection?
A: Yes, multi-current parallel mode can be set in arbitrary test and differential modules; continuous output shall not exceed single-phase rated 30A to avoid power amplifier overload damage.
