Product Overview

The MOEORW-WRY073 multi-functional insulation resistance tester integrates insulation resistance testing, dual absorption ratio calculation, polarization index analysis and independent AC/DC voltage measurement. Built on large-scale integrated circuits and digital boost technology, it provides adjustable test voltages from 250V to 5000V, covering a measuring range of 0.01 MΩ to 5.00 TΩ. The unit stores up to 1000 groups of test data, supports USB data export to PC for report filing, and features auto discharge protection, dustproof and damp-proof construction. It records resistance at 15s, 30s, 60s and 600s automatically, calculating two absorption ratio variants (R60s/R15s, R60s/R30s) and polarization index R10min/R1min, with standardized grading criteria to quantify insulation quality for generators, communication equipment and oil-filled cables.

Core Functional Features

1.Hardware & Circuit Design Digital boost modules deliver 5 selectable low-to-medium test voltages, paired with ≥5mA short-circuit current for fast charging capacitive specimens. Independent V channel realizes automatic AC/DC identification for live-line pre-inspection. Built-in USB communication chip enables offline data export to computers, while reinforced enclosure provides shock, dust and moisture resistance for harsh field environments.
2.Measurement Performance 4-digit backlit LCD supports clear reading under dim lighting, with automatic range switching for full-range resistance detection. The system records multi-time node resistance values and computes two absorption ratios plus polarization index. Real-time LED flash and audio beep indicate test progress; auto discharge eliminates residual high voltage after measurement.
3.Operational Practicality Fully customizable test duration and adjustable LCD backlight adapt to diverse site conditions. Multi-key operation supports data browsing, deletion, time calibration and ratio value switching. The three-terminal L/G/E wiring design uses the GUARD shield to suppress surface leakage; the unit retains all test records until manual deletion, facilitating batch inspection data archiving.

Application Fields

1.Power & Energy Sector: Insulation performance testing of oil-immersed transformers, large generators and high-voltage power cables.

2.Telecommunication Industry: Routine maintenance of communication cabinets, signal equipment and buried communication cables.

3.Electromechanical Installation: On-site acceptance testing for factory motor equipment, low-voltage power distribution cabinets and industrial wiring systems.

4.Petroleum & Meteorology: Field insulation inspection for outdoor electrical equipment working under high humidity and temperature fluctuations.

Maintenance Specifications

1.Operation Safety: Wear insulated gloves during high-voltage testing; confirm DUT is fully power-off before wiring.
2.Storage Management: Charge the battery every 3 months during long idle periods; close battery cover tightly before testing.
3.Post-test Operation: Wait for full automatic discharge before removing test leads to avoid residual electric shock.
4.Cleaning: Wipe the housing with soft dry cloth; corrosive cleaning agents are prohibited.

FAQ

Q1: What are the judgment standards for absorption ratio and polarization index?

A1: Polarization index ≥4 is optimal; 2–4 is good; below 1 indicates poor insulation. Absorption ratio above 1.4 represents sound insulation status.

Q2: Can I check historical test data after power-off?

A2: Yes, all stored data remains intact after power-off and can be retrieved via the READ key before overwriting.

Q3: What is the function of the independent V voltage measurement port?

A3: It detects residual AC/DC voltage on the test object to prevent live-line testing and instrument damage.

Q4: Does the instrument support automatic power-off?

A4: No automatic power-off function; users must rotate the function switch to OFF after testing.
