Product Overview

The MOEORW-WRY75 high voltage insulation resistance tester operates on the voltage-current principle R=V/I, adopting high-voltage inversion circuits to output 5 selectable test voltages from 500V to 10000V. It automatically captures resistance readings at 15s, 60s and 600s to compute absorption ratio (R60s/R15s) and polarization index (R10min/R1min). These two metrics serve as core criteria to evaluate insulation aging, dampness and hidden defects of transformers, cables and motors, complying with mandatory EU electrical pre-energization inspection rules. Built with lithium power supply and full safety protection circuits, the unit delivers stable anti-interference measurement for long-duration power industry testing.

Core Functional Features

1.Hardware & Circuit Design Equipped with multi-stage high-voltage output modules and ≥5mA short-circuit current, the device rapidly charges capacitive loads like power cables. Independent anti-interference sampling circuits offset external magnetic field interference, while integrated safety circuits prevent overvoltage and reverse connection damage. Undervoltage alert protects lithium cells from deep discharge.
2.Measurement Performance 3½ digit auto-ranging LCD supports real-time resistance reading up to 2 TΩ. Embedded ambient temperature detection standardizes test data. An independent timing buzzer alerts every 15 seconds; the unit auto-saves 15s/60s/600s resistance values and instantaneously computes absorption ratio and polarization index.
3.Operational Practicality Dedicated G shielding terminal eliminates measurement errors caused by surface leakage from damp or contaminated insulation. One-click data recall accesses stored test records without retesting. Independent high voltage start/stop button enables immediate power cut to mitigate electric shock risks, with lightweight compact housing for field portable use.

Daily Maintenance Rules

1.Pre-test: Fully cut off DUT power and discharge residual charges; clean insulation surfaces to reduce deviation.
2.Wiring: Secure E terminal to reliable ground; attach G shielding ring to sample insulation layer for high-precision testing.
3.Battery Care: Charge every 3–5 months during long-term storage; the tester locks high-voltage output while charging for safety.
4.Post-test: Wait for full automatic discharge of capacitive samples before detaching test wires.

FAQ

Q1: Why does the measured value rise continuously at the beginning of testing?

A1: The instrument charges capacitive test samples after high voltage activation; record formal readings after the value stabilizes.

Q2: Is the G shielding terminal required for all test scenarios?

A2: It is strongly recommended for cable testing and damp/contaminated samples to eliminate surface leakage errors.

Q3: What are absorption ratio and polarization index used for?

A3: They are critical indicators to judge insulation dampness and aging status, widely adopted for medium and large power equipment evaluation.
