This instrument is designed in accordance with the latest power industry standard DL/T845.4-2004 of the People's Republic of China, integrating high-frequency switching power supply technology with digital circuit technology. It is suitable for measuring the loop resistance of switchgear control equipment. The test current employs the nationally recommended DC 100A and 200A. It directly measures loop resistance at 100A and 200A currents, displaying final results on a large LCD screen. Additional functions include data storage, print output, and time settings. Optional 400A and 600A ranges are available. This instrument delivers accurate measurements and stable performance, meeting the requirements for on-site high-voltage switch maintenance by power and supply departments, as well as loop resistance testing at high-voltage switch manufacturers.

Answer: This instrument employs the current-voltage method (four-wire method) testing principle. The current source outputs a constant current flowing through the standard resistor R₀ and the test resistor Rₓ. Voltage signals from both are sampled, filtered, amplified, and converted into digital values via AD conversion. The resistance value of the test resistor Rₓ is then calculated.

2) What key considerations should be observed when wiring the MEHL-W600C Loop Resistance Tester?

Answer: Two core points must be observed: First, ensure the connections between the instrument panel and test leads are securely tightened to prevent loosening. Second, strictly adhere to the four-terminal method for wiring. The current lead clamp must be attached to the outer side of the test specimen, while the voltage lead clamp is attached to the inner side. Furthermore, the polarity of the current and voltage leads must be maintained consistently.
