Prodection details

This instrument is suitable for field and laboratory use in the power industry, conducting closing and opening characteristic tests on various domestic and international circuit breakers, including SF6 switches, GIS integrated switchgear, vacuum switches, and oil circuit breakers. It performs critical parameter tests including break-off time, synchronism, bounce parameters, travel distance, speed, and coil current. The device supports low-voltage operation testing and reclosing simulation functions, meeting the equipment commissioning, operational maintenance testing, and factory testing requirements of substations, switch manufacturers, and power maintenance units. Data can be stored locally, exported via USB drive, or printed on-site. It accommodates characteristic evaluations for circuit breakers across different voltage levels and mechanism types.

FAQ

1)Why must the grounding wire be connected before the breakpoint wire during on-site wiring of the MOEORW-W5127C+ Circuit Breaker Characteristic Tester?

Answer: During on-site testing, extremely high induced voltages may exist between the breakpoints and ground of high-voltage switches (especially those rated 220kV and above). Although the energy of this voltage is relatively low, it is sufficient to threaten the safety of the instrument's breakpoint channel. The instrument features a discharge circuit between its internal break signal input and ground. Connecting the ground wire first prioritizes this circuit. Subsequently, when connecting the break signal wire, any induced high voltage at the break point can be safely discharged to ground through this circuit, thereby protecting the instrument's break channel from damage.

2)What are the key considerations for installing the universal speed sensor included with the MOEORW-W5127C+ Circuit Breaker Characteristic Tester?

Answer: Three core requirements must be met during sensor installation: 1. The sensor socket orientation must align with the moving rod's direction of travel and remain as parallel as possible; 2. Select the appropriate radius clamping device based on the linkage rod diameter to ensure the sensor is securely fixed without relative slippage during switch operation, guaranteeing data accuracy; 3. Allow sufficient clearance to prevent collision between the sensor and surrounding components during switch operation, which could cause irreversible damage.

3)When performing single-close or single-open tests with the MOEORW-5127C+ Circuit Breaker Characteristic Tester, the switch actuates but the instrument displays no data. What are the possible causes and solutions?

Answer: There are three primary causes and corresponding solutions: 1. The ground wire is not properly connected. Re-check and tighten the ground wire. 2. The closing/opening coil resistance is too high, resulting in insufficient load (current < 1A), causing the instrument to trigger prematurely. Disable the short-circuit protection function via [Main Menu] - [Settings] - [Calibration Mode], then retry. 3. The corresponding control circuit is damaged. Temporarily use another functional power control channel for testing (e.g., use the trip channel to operate the closing coil if no data appears during closing). Contact the factory for repair after testing is complete.
