Product feature and application

Technologically advanced: Uses proprietary communication technology, clever design, and large-scale integrated circuits. conforms to GB/T 31473-2015 requirements. outfitted with high-end sensors that provide great repeatability, quick response times, and high sensitivity for the free diffusion detection of sulfur hexafluoride gas.
Practical Design: Waterproof, dustproof, and explosion-proof protection is offered by high-strength engineering plastic casing. Measurements: 149 x 62 x 31 mm (probe excluded), weight: 0.28 kg, portable, and simple to use. Three indicator lights and five function keys guarantee quick mastery and logical reasoning.
All-inclusive Features: Triple alerts (light, sound, and vibration) with intensity scaling to leakage levels are supported by the LCD real-time display. Time, screen brightness, sleep mode, and language options are all customizable; sensor zero calibration and probe head detection are supported (password 223 required).

Reliability and Safety: Clear usage instructions, a Type-C port for charging while turned off, compatibility with a 2000mAh lithium battery, a built-in power-on self-test that separates skippable from non-skippable abnormalities, regular calibration (≤1 year) that guarantees accuracy, and troubleshooting solutions for common problems are all included.

Prodection details

  • Power Industry: Suitable for substations, distribution rooms, and similar facilities, detecting gas leaks in power equipment such as sulfur hexafluoride circuit breakers and GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear). Ensures stable insulation and arc-quenching performance of power systems, preventing equipment failures that could cause power outages.
  • Electrical Equipment Manufacturing/Maintenance: During production assembly, factory testing, and field maintenance of SF₆-related electrical equipment (e.g., instrument transformers, surge arresters), it identifies leaks caused by seal aging or loose connections, ensuring product quality and post-maintenance equipment integrity.
  • Chemical and Industrial Production: For chemical production lines, industrial furnaces, and other scenarios using SF₆ as an insulating medium, etching gas, or protective gas, it enables real-time monitoring of gas leaks to prevent safety risks (such as oxygen deficiency or explosion hazards) and environmental impacts caused by gas leaks.
  • Laboratories and Research Institutions: Used for leak testing of experimental apparatus and piping systems involving sulfur hexafluoride gas. This ensures controlled and safe experimental processes, preventing gas leaks that could compromise data accuracy or cause laboratory environmental contamination.
  • Construction and Refrigeration: Used in leak detection during installation and operation of specialized refrigeration equipment and thermal insulation sealing systems employing SF₆. Ensures optimal refrigeration/sealing performance while preventing efficiency loss or safety hazards from gas leaks.
  • Emergency Detection Scenarios: At emergency response sites where SF₆ gas leaks are suspected, the device can be rapidly deployed for on-site qualitative detection to locate leak sources. This provides decision-making support for emergency rescue and personnel evacuation, minimizing hazards to personnel and the environment from leaked gas.
  • Note: Ensure the device operates within its environmental specifications (0°C to 50°C, 0% RH to 80% RH non-condensing). Avoid use in harsh conditions such as high concentrations of corrosive gases, severe vibration, or strong electromagnetic fields to maintain detection accuracy and device stability.

FAQ

1)The MEJL-WDX Gas Qualitative Leak Detector displays an internal memory error message upon startup. How should this be addressed?

Answer: Internal memory failure is a skippable startup anomaly. When the prompt and countdown progress bar appear on the screen, you may select "Confirm" via the [◁][▷] keys before the countdown ends to continue the startup process, or choose "Cancel" to shut down immediately. If no action is taken, the device will automatically power off after the countdown concludes.

2)After replacing the sensor on the MEJL-WDX Gas Qualitative Leak Detector, what steps are required for normal operation?

Answer: Follow these steps to replace the sensor: 1. Power off the device and wait five minutes; 2. Remove the old sensor and install the new one; 3. After restarting, enter the "Advanced Menu" in the main menu (enter the management password 223 and press and hold the Menu/Confirm key); 4. Select "Sensor Settings" > "Head Replacement Search," then press the Menu/Confirm key to initiate the search; 5. Once the screen displays the "Calibration Successful" prompt, the new sensor is ready for use.

3)The MEJL-WDX Gas Qualitative Leak Detector screen automatically turns off during operation. How do I resume use?

Answer: The screen turns off automatically when the device triggers its auto-sleep or screen-off function. To resume operation, simply press any key to wake the screen. Wait for the sensor to complete preheating (the screen displays "Preheating in Progress") before the device returns to normal detection mode. To adjust screen-off settings, navigate to "Display Settings" within "System Settings" and modify the time parameters for "Enter Sleep Mode" or "Turn Off Screen".
