FAQ

1)What safety requirements must be followed when connecting the USB cable of the MOEORW-W0715B Ground Resistance and Soil Resistivity Tester to a computer?

Answer: The USB port of this instrument is non-isolated from its internal circuitry. Core safety requirements are as follows:
1. Connecting to a computer while voltage is present is strictly prohibited, as it may burn out the instrument or cause electric shock.
2. Always disconnect the voltage test leads from the instrument before connecting the USB cable to retrieve data;
3. The online monitoring function described in the manual is not intended for voltage monitoring and must not be used for voltage monitoring scenarios.

2)What are the design features of the MOEORW-W0715B Earth Resistance and Soil Resistivity Tester's main unit toolbox, and what functions does it serve?

Answer: The main unit features a dedicated toolbox design, molded in one piece from polypropylene plastic with new composite fillers. Key design characteristics include low density coupled with superior strength, rigidity, hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance, and insulation properties. The case can withstand approximately 200kg of pressure. This design ensures high precision, stability, and reliability during testing in diverse environments while providing robust protection for the instrument, adapting to complex field testing scenarios.

3)What are the key differences in test lead connections and usage scenarios when performing ground voltage testing versus AC voltage testing with the MOEORW-W0715B Ground Resistance and Soil Resistivity Tester?

Answer: Key differences are as follows:
1. Test Lead Connection:
- Ground Voltage Test: Requires connecting one auxiliary grounding rod. Only the corresponding test lead must connect to the earth ground; commercial power lines (L/N) must not be connected.
- AC Voltage Test: No auxiliary grounding rod is needed. Only connect the test leads to the instrument's P(S) and ES terminals; do not connect to C(H) or E terminals.
2. Application Scenarios: Ground voltage testing measures the potential difference between the grounding electrode and the earth's zero potential point during electrical equipment ground faults. It cannot be used for commercial voltage testing. AC voltage testing measures standard commercial AC line voltages below 600V. These scenarios must be strictly distinguished to prevent instrument damage from cross-application
