The DC resistance of a transformer is a mandatory test item in the manufacturing process of transformers, including semi-finished and finished product factory tests, installation tests, commissioning tests, and preventive tests by the power sector. It can effectively detect manufacturing defects such as material selection, welding, loose connections, missing strands, and broken wires in transformer coils, as well as potential hazards after operation.

Product feature and application

 

Three-phase testing: For transformers with YN or yn connection on the high-voltage or low-voltage side, only one wiring is required. The instrument can measure the DC resistance of A0 , B0 , and C0 simultaneously and automatically calculate the three-phase imbalance rate, which greatly saves testing time.

Single-phase testing: For transformers with any connection method, only one wiring is required. The instrument can be operated to select any winding of the transformer for testing . The entire testing process does not require reversing the test leads.

Magnetizing test: For transformers with three-phase five-limb low-voltage angle connection (YNd11) connection, the instrument can automatically connect or short-circuit the magnetizing circuit of the winding to quickly test the DC resistance of the low-voltage winding .

The instrument has a built-in test matrix that can save the DC resistance values of each phase at each tap position of the transformer and the three-phase unbalance rate . It can also print the DC resistance values converted to the rated temperature .

The instrument features a 5.7-inch extra-large LCD display, which is clearly visible even in sunlight;

The instrument comes with a high-speed miniature thermal printer: it can print measurement and historical data ;

The instrument can permanently store 500 sets of test data, and can also store data using a USB flash drive;
