Product Overview
The MOEORW-WET52 petroleum product density tester is a constant-temperature water bath testing device developed in compliance with GB/T 1884-2000. It is designed to measure the density of crude oil and liquid petroleum products via the hydrometer method. The instrument is applicable to crude oil, petroleum products, and mixtures of petroleum and non-petroleum products with a Reid vapor pressure not exceeding 180 kPa, covering both transparent low-viscosity liquids and viscous liquid samples. Adopting microcomputer closed-loop temperature control and automatic stirring design, the equipment delivers high temperature control accuracy, stable operation and reliable test results, supporting dual testing positions for simultaneous sample detection.

Core Functional Features
1.Hardware & Structural Design Equipped with a 5-inch full-color touch screen with Chinese interactive prompts and real-time simulation curve display for heating and testing duration. Built-in microcomputer control system drives independent stirring paddles for automatic uniform water bath circulation; dual-hole test station layout enables parallel testing of two samples. Optional plug-in refrigeration module is available for low-temperature constant temperature testing.
2.Performance Advantages Adopts PI closed-loop temperature adjustment to achieve ±0.1 ℃ constant temperature stability; temperature resolution reaches 0.1 ℃ to meet high-precision petroleum density testing requirements. The stirring system runs stably at a fixed speed to eliminate local temperature stratification inside the water bath.
3.Operational Practical Value Integrated complete operation modules including temperature setting, data storage, historical record query, temperature correction, PID parameter adjustment and data printing. Supports manual temperature offset calibration to eliminate deviation between display temperature and actual bath temperature. All test records can be stored, retrieved, deleted and reprinted for traceable laboratory data management. Time and login password modification functions are reserved for standardized laboratory management.
4. Working Principle
Under the test conditions specified by GB/T 1884-2000, pure water is injected into the water bath tank as the heat transfer medium. The instrument heats the water bath to the standard test temperature of 20 ℃ under standard atmospheric pressure (101.325 kPa) and maintains constant temperature through PI regulation. The prepared petroleum sample is loaded into a density measuring cylinder and placed in the thermostatic water bath until the sample temperature is consistent with the bath temperature. A matched petroleum hydrometer is immersed vertically into the sample and kept static until thermal equilibrium. Operators read the scale value of the hydrometer and record the sample temperature to complete density measurement.
Application & Compliance Standard
Application Fields
- Petroleum refinery laboratory density routine inspection
- Crude oil incoming quality detection
- Liquid petroleum product physical property analysis

Executed Standard
Fully designed and manufactured in accordance with GB/T 1884-2000 Laboratory Determination of Density of Crude Oil and Liquid Petroleum Products (Hydrometer Method). Applicable to samples with Reid vapor pressure ≤ 180 kPa.
FAQ
Q1: The instrument cannot cool down when the set temperature is lower than 20 ℃
A: The refrigeration accessory (TP501 refrigerator) must be installed and powered on separately; the standard main unit only supports heating without cooling function.
Q2: There is deviation between screen display temperature and actual water bath temperature
A: Calibrate the temperature via the Temperature Correction function in Maintenance Service menu, input the offset value measured by verified standard thermometer for automatic compensation.
Q3: No display after power-on
A: Check the fuse at the three-core power socket on the rear panel and replace with the spare fuse supplied with the unit if damaged.
Q4: Unstable temperature during constant temperature stage with refrigeration accessory
A: Enter PID setting in Maintenance Service and increase the integral coefficient I until temperature stabilizes at the set value.
Q5: Bubbles persist on the sample liquid surface affecting reading
A: Extend the constant temperature holding time; remove surface bubbles with clean filter paper before placing the hydrometer.
Q6: The instrument fails to heat after tapping the temperature control button
A: Confirm sufficient water volume inside the bath tank (water must submerge measuring cylinders without overflow); check power supply grounding and fuse integrity.
