The MEYD and TDM series lightweight oil-immersed test transformers are created based on the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics' "Test Transformers" standard, containing considerable advancements over earlier similar products. The MEYD(G) series test transformers were improved in compliance with the national standard "ZBK-41006-89" to create the TDM(G) series lightweight AC/DC high-voltage test transformers, a new product line. This series boasts small dimensions, lightweight construction, integrated functionality, high adaptability, and user-friendly operation. 1)How does the MEYDJ-W5kVA/100kV power frequency AC/DC withstand voltage test device switch between AC and DC modes?

Answer: The TDM (G) series in this device supports AC/DC mode switching. This is achieved by controlling the high-voltage silicon stack via a shorting rod:
- When the shorting rod is closed, the high-voltage silicon stack is bypassed, and the device outputs power frequency high voltage (AC mode). When the shorting bar is withdrawn, the high-voltage silicon stack is connected in series with the high-voltage circuit for half-wave rectification, and the device outputs high-voltage DC (DC mode). The MEYDJ (G) series does not have a high-voltage silicon stack and only supports power frequency AC mode, requiring no switching.

2)What are the special grounding requirements for equipment when performing cascaded tests using the MEYDJ-W5kVA/100kV Power Frequency AC/DC Withstand Voltage Test Device?

Answer: During cascaded testing, grounding must meet the following requirements: ① The enclosure of the primary-level test transformer must be directly and reliably grounded; ② The X terminals of the low-voltage windings, the F terminals of the measuring windings, and the X terminals of the high-voltage tails for both the secondary-level and tertiary-level test transformers must all be connected to the equipment enclosure of their respective levels; ③ The enclosures of the secondary-level and tertiary-level equipment must not be directly grounded. They must be insulated from ground via insulating supports to prevent high-voltage potential conflicts.

3)What actions should be taken when abnormal conditions occur during testing with the MEYDJ-W5kVA/100kV power frequency AC/DC withstand voltage test set?
