Our company has developed a system capable of detecting the grounding status of the outer metal sheath of cables without power interruption: the Cable Outer Metal Sheath Grounding Status Diagnostic System (hereinafter referred to as the Diagnostic System). The Diagnostic System utilizes various measurement technologies to detect the grounding status of cross-connection and single-end grounding connections in high-voltage cable lines.

Product features and applications
- The diagnostic system utilizes the latest digital processing technology, FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) technology, and AFC (Automatic Frequency Control) technology, combined with new grounding resistance detection standards, to detect the grounding status of the outer metal sheath of cables. It has unique anti-interference capabilities and adaptability to complex environments.
- Cross-connection loop resistance detection and analysis
- Based on the characteristics of cross-connection circuits, a dual-clamp method (measuring clamp and excitation clamp) is used with AFC automatic frequency selection technology and coupling measurement principle to detect the circuit resistance of cross-connection circuits. The circuit resistances of phases A, B, and C are tested separately. According to relevant testing standards and specifications, the diagnostic system automatically analyzes and diagnoses the health status of the line and displays green, yellow, and red alarm messages according to the results.
- Loop resistance detection and analysis in single-ended grounding mode
- Based on the characteristics of single-ended grounding circuits, the resistance of phases AB, AC, and BC is tested using the four-wire method. According to relevant testing standards and specifications, the diagnostic system automatically analyzes and diagnoses the health status of the line and displays green, yellow, and red alarm messages based on the results.
- Live testing
- Regardless of whether the high-voltage cable line is in operation, the system can detect the loop resistance of both cross-connection and direct grounding methods. The power output of the grounding resistance tester is relatively small and will not affect the high-voltage cable line.
- Wireless connectivity, easy to operate, automatic measurement
- The grounding resistance tester and the smart PAD terminal communicate via Bluetooth, and the measurement can be performed automatically by operating the smart PAD terminal.
- Large jaw design
- The clamp jaws are 70mm in diameter (standard configuration), which is suitable for use with flat iron/steel as grounding leads.
