Description

Transformer On-load Switch Tester

Product Introduction

The On-Load Tap Changer Tester is designed in accordance with the General Technical Conditions for High-Voltage Test Equipment (DL/T 846-8-2004) of the Power Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China. It meets the requirements specified in the "Code for Acceptance and Preventive Tests of Power Equipment" for inspecting the operating sequence of on-load tap changers and measuring switching times. It enables precise measurement of parameters including transition time, transition waveform, transition resistance, and three-phase synchronism for on-load tap changers, making it an ideal testing device. (Users with tap-changing on-load switches should notify us in advance.)

FAQ

1)What are the core safety precautions for operating the MEBYC-W3000 On-Load Switch Tester for Transformers?

Answer:
- Never perform measurements under live conditions. Disconnect test leads from the test terminals before measurement; do not remove test leads during testing.
- When testing with windings connected, short-circuit and ground all three phases of the transformer's non-test terminals. The instrument's O terminal must remain ungrounded.
Before use, securely connect the instrument's ground terminal. After testing, turn off the instrument before disconnecting any wiring.
Do not combine multiple circuits into a single measurement path. Keep unused circuits open.
For on-load switches that have not operated for extended periods, repeatedly switch positions before testing to remove oxidation and impurities from the contacts.

2)What winding types does the MEBYC-W3000 On-Load Switch Tester support, and what are the core wiring requirements?

Answer:
It supports testing for Y0, Y, and Δ winding configurations. Core wiring requirements are as follows:
Y0 Type (with neutral point): Clamp yellow, green, red, black in sequence to clamp the tap-change side A, B, C phases and neutral point. Connect to instrument terminals A, B, C, O respectively;
Y Type (without neutral point lead-out): Test AB, BC, CA separately using single-phase test method. Wiring must match corresponding phase colors;
△-type: Connect in two groups as prompted on the screen (A→C, B→C and A→B, C→B). After testing one group, return the switch to its original position before testing the other group. The final display indicates three-phase synchronism.

3)How does the MEBYC-W3000 On-Load Tap Changer Tester implement data storage and export functions?

Answer:
Data Storage: The built-in memory automatically saves up to 1000 sets of data. External USB drives can also be connected for storage. When a USB drive is connected, the instrument prioritizes reading and saving data to the USB drive (inserting a USB drive during testing takes effect only after the test completes).
Data Export: Access the file list via the instrument's "Open" function, select the desired file, and click "Export" to transfer the data file to an external USB drive.
Report Generation: The instrument can generate test reports in Word format. Alternatively, use the accompanying PC software (copy "Transformer On-Load Switch PC Software.exe" from the USB drive to your computer and install it). After opening the stored file, click "Convert to Word Document" to generate the report.
