Description

5kV Turn-to-turn Impulse Withstand Voltage Tester

Product Introduction

The MEZJ-W5A Turn-to-Turn Impulse Withstand Voltage Tester employs the "impulse waveform comparison method." It alternately applies impulse voltages with specified peak values and front times to both the test specimen and a standard reference part of identical design. By comparing the differences between the two oscillating waveforms, it determines the integrity of the turn-to-turn insulation in motor windings. It provides intuitive identification of various faults including corona discharge, partial short circuits, wiring errors, incorrect winding identification, coil imbalance, and phase-to-phase short circuits.

Employing reliable measurement technology and circuit design, this instrument outperforms domestic counterparts in all performance and technical specifications. It is widely applicable for testing small motors, fractional horsepower motors, micro motors, power tools, transformers, relays, and similar products.

The MEZJ-5A Interturn Impulse Withstand Voltage Tester is simple to operate, safe, and reliable, complying with GB 755-87, JB/Z 294-87, and JB/Z 346-89 standards.

FAQ

1)What is the core testing principle of the MEZJ-W5A Interturn Impulse Withstand Voltage Tester?

Answer: This tester employs the "impulse waveform comparison method." It alternately applies an impulse voltage with specified peak values and front times to both the test specimen and a reference specimen of identical design. By comparing the differences between the two oscillating waveforms, it assesses the condition of the interturn insulation in motor windings, thereby identifying various related faults.

2)What winding connection configurations does the MEZJ-W5A Interturn Impulse Withstand Voltage Tester support?

Answer: It supports three primary connection methods and single-phase winding tests: Φ (Phase) connection (for windings with leads at both ends of each phase), Y (Line) connection (for windings already configured as Y-connected or high-power coil windings), and Δ (Delta) connection (for windings already configured as Δ-connected). It can also test single-phase coils or windings.

3)How should abnormal conditions be handled when using the MEZJ-W5A Turn-to-Turn Impulse Withstand Voltage Tester?

Answer: If abnormal sounds are heard inside the unit, unusual odors are detected, or abnormal waveforms such as corona discharge or sparking appear during testing, immediately stop the test and avoid maintaining high voltage for extended periods. Testing may only resume after a qualified technician has inspected and resolved the issue. Non-technical personnel are strictly prohibited from opening the unit's enclosu
